Eng Flanders Group would like to announce that Colin Flanders, formerly the director of accounting services, has been appointed president of the firm, succeeding the esteemed founder and former President, Dona Lane Eng.
Dona Eng, a leader in the property management industry for over 30 years, is proudly passing the reins to Colin. “I am thrilled to witness the next chapter of EFG under the leadership of Colin,” said Dona. “Colin's natural leadership ability and innovative approach make him the ideal choice to guide EFG into the future. I am genuinely excited about the energy and the fresh perspectives he brings to the company.”
Colin has 15 years of expertise in the property management industry and holds degrees in both Accounting and Information Systems from California State University at Northridge. In his previous position, he played a pivotal role in the development of the Accounting Services department, establishing it as a cornerstone in providing top-notch outsourced accounting for EFG's clients.
Colin’s multi-faceted experience extends beyond traditional accounting. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of various software suites and financial systems, enabling him to understand client needs and facilitate smooth project transitions. In his career, Colin has managed implementation projects, conducted complex accounting analyses, and led teams in large data entry projects. “Colin’s wealth of experience and dedication have significantly contributed to EFG’s success,” stated Brad Setser, director of business development at EFG. “His leadership has been instrumental in the tremendous progress this firm has achieved in recent years.”

When Colin decided to go back to school, it had been 15 years since he had last been in college, and he was in the midst of his career as a consultant and accountant at Eng Flanders Group. In addition to implementing property management software for companies throughout the country, he also used his accounting expertise to establish EFG’s Accounting Services Department. He and his accounting services team had been providing outsourced accounting services for managers of all types of real estate portfolios across the nation.

She comes to us from RPM Living where she served as their Yardi Voyager guru, managing, training and customizing reports on the platform. Now she brings her years of customization experience to us!

Mike joined the Eng Flanders Group in 2018, bringing over 25 years of experience in IT and residential property management technology. Since joining the EFG team, his focus has expanded beyond residential into other areas of the property management business such as apartment marketing, commercial management, asset management and electronic payables. He has in-depth expertise in multiple property management software systems, as well as legacy systems from which he helps his clients migrate.

We recently met up with our existing client, Wallace Properties, at the Yardi Advanced Solutions Conference (YASC), in San Diego. They’ve been live since November 2016 and are realizing that they still have some time-consuming tasks that need to be streamlined. Putting our heads together, we designed a plan that will help automate a particularly slow-moving task. We are looking forward to implementing this new process and hearing their feedback on how it’s increased efficiency—and profits.
